About Chère Rosalie

Perfection doesn't just happen. It's planned.

Chère means "dear" in French and Rosalie is the name of our founder's grandmother, who has been and continues to be a powerful influence in her life. Grandma Rosalie always wanted to pursue her passion for the wedding industry but never had the chance. So, it was only fitting that when our founder decided to launch her own company she name it after her. Chère Rosalie designs, plans and coordinates beautiful weddings in her honor.

Whether you have dreamed about your wedding since you were a kid or you’re new to the idea entirely, you want the day to be perfect. That’s where we come in. Chère Rosalie will flawlessly execute each detail you spent months planning or help bring your vision to life by taking the lead on every aspect of your special day. We strive to make sure your wedding is stress-free, seamless, and stunning.

Kim Pestalozzi

Owner + Lead Planner

Kim discovered her passion for weddings after having to plan her own wedding in just 7 weeks due to an unexpected family illness. In the midst of the scramble to find a last-minute venue and vendors, get wedding dress alterations, send out invitations and more, she never felt overwhelmed: she felt energized. The day turned out perfectly and Kim knew she wanted to plan more weddings to help other couples make their "I Do" dreams come true.

Kim began coordinating weddings in NYC with the top-rated Day Of Company before launching Chère Rosalie. In addition to planning weddings, she works as a producer at an award-winning national TV news program. She's trained to handle high pressure situations with many moving parts and people. Not surprisingly, this specific skill set lends itself seamlessly to the wedding planning industry. Kim is happily married to her husband, Chris, and they're obsessed with their Australian Shepherd, Moxxi.

Sarah always loved the idea of working in the wedding industry and being a small part of a couples’ special day, but she never thought she’d take the leap. However, after seeing some of her close friends working as coordinators, she knew it would be the perfect fit for her! In addition to her passion for special events, Sarah also works full-time as a producer at a top-tier media company, giving her the unique skill set necessary to excel as a wedding coordinator.

Sarah is a native New Yorker. She went to school for Educational Theatre and is certified to teach theatre to K-12. She also recently started stand up comedy and performed her first set at Caroline’s on Broadway.
